Great food , quick service and very clean

Great customer service and care as soon as I walked through the door. Big portions, amazing flavor, fresh ingredients, prepared as soon as you order & excellent prices. Overall our 1st visit has been so unique that we plan to visit every time we are in town. Highly recommended to every single Driver who delivers or picks up here in Iowa.

Fantastic food! Service was fast and friendly.

Such a nice quiet place! The food was delicious. My michelada smooth and taisty. And of course, very generous serving.

Ratings are for useful info, right? Visited while on a bike road trip after a long day. While this place isn't stellar in the overall appearance, I can find no reason to give them less than 5 stars. The mexican beer selection is very nice and options a plenty. Even some on tap as well. The employees were friendly courteous and overall did well. The menu and food options are much more creative than your usual Mexican restaurant fare which was refreshing since it was the third Mexican meal had in as many days. It was convenient to our hotel too which was a plus. It is roomy and the music isn't too loud to have a conversation with a fellow traveler too. The complimentary endless chips (with a meal purchase I presume) are warm and the salsas are definitely made in house. There were few other choices by our lodging, but I'm glad we chose El Charro!

Food was outstanding. I had the Texas Fajitas and it was the best I've ever had. Took left overs home and they were even better the next day. The service was quick and friendly. I will definitely be eating there again!!

If only this spot was closer to home! I ordered the T-Bone with bell pepper, onions, no tomatoes but added mushrooms. Perfect for the price. My fiance had the Burrito Verde which was more like a cross between a burrito and an enchilada. She would have liked more cheese on the top of it but taste was 4 outta 5 star!

The best Mexican food in Iowa ! I can't wait for them to reopen after the derecho. Very nice people, they make sure everything is the way you like it ! SO GOOD !!!
